Herts #40: Flaunden

Flaunden is surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering a variety of walking routes to explore.

Duration: Around 2 hours 30 minutes


Whether you're wandering through tranquil woodlands, fields of wildflowers, or along quiet country lanes, you'll be treated to stunning views of the Hertfordshire landscape. Popular walks include paths through the nearby Flaunden Woods, a quiet haven for nature lovers, and routes that link to the Chess Valley Walk, which offers expansive views over the River Chess.


Local Attractions and Historic Sights

Flaunden’s peaceful charm is also steeped in history. Visit the quaint St. Mary’s Church, which dates back to the 13th century, and admire its beautiful architecture and surroundings. The village itself has retained much of its traditional character, with picturesque cottages and country homes adding to the appeal.

The Bricklayers Arms | RedCat Pub Company Pub, Flaunden blew us away, it was absolutely gorgeous, and Pep was treated like the absolute princess that she is and had a wonderful nap whilst we enjoyed our delicious lunch.
